UTEP athletics announced this evening that they will continue allowing fans to attend men's and women's basketball games until further notice. "Miner Nation did a great job this past weekend for the men’s games and we feel confident that fans will continue to be mindful of the protocols and act with diligence and care during future contests," UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter said in the official release.

Masks and face coverings are required for all fans at the Don Haskins Center. UTEP also has set up a landing page with all specific COVID protocols. C-USA's COVID guidelines allow a maximum of 15% capacity for fan attendance at basketball games. Due to the small capacity at games, only season ticket holders are able to attend. However, Miners fans can electronically transfer their tickets to friends or family members if they are unable to attend any games.

According to the postgame box scores, 459 fans attended last Friday night's game between UTEP and Rice and 457 fans returned to the Don Haskins Center to watch the two schools clash again on Saturday night. That is a little less than 4-percent of the arena's 11,892 capacity.
