UTEP continues to create new incentives for fans who donate to the Athletic Department. Their latest effort, #PlantYourPick, offers a large 3-foot by 5-foot school flag to every person who donates a minimum of $50 to athletics. The orange UTEP flag features the pick in navy blue with a silver outline.

"Donating to the Miner Athletic Club is a great way to make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes and now, with the introduction of the 'Plant Your Pick' campaign, you can show that you’re on board for an exciting new era of UTEP Athletics," Director of Athletics Jim Senter said in a press release. "UTEP Athletics is on a mission to become the preeminent program in Conference USA. Every Person Makes A Difference #EPMAD, and the Miners need the support of all fans to achieve this goal."

UTEP set is a special website, plantyourpick.com for the fundraiser. Fans have a chance to share their donation through social media and their name will appear on a rolling scroll embedded in the website. UTEP also has a map of the United States to help illustrate where the donations are coming from.

Although the flags will be limited to one per person regardless of donation amount, there is a way to acquire multiple flags. For example, if four people within the same household or family each donate $50, all four would receive a UTEP flag. Nick Popplewell, UTEP's Associate Athletic Director for Development, told 600 ESPN El Paso that the flags will be exclusive to the #PlantYourPick fundraiser and not available in the bookstore or anywhere else.

The donation will also give fans a chance to earn two priority points for every $50 donated to UTEP. The rewards program was released earlier this month to help fans with their Sun Bowl relocation for next season's major renovation. The stadium will lose 5,000 seats on the press box side with the addition of the loge boxes and club seating.
