The University of Texas isn't holding back this year just because of the pandemic. UTEP's celebration for students returning back to school is still a go. This year UTEP still plans on keeping their tradition alive and will present their 30th Annual Minerpaloooza. This year things will be handled a little differently. Due to the pandemic and protecting the safety of our community Minerpalooza is going virtual this year. So instead of being outside in the heat at Minerpalooza, you can enjoy it in the cool fresh atmosphere of your own home. Minerpalooza's 30th annual celebration will be held on September 4, 2020, at 8 pm.

Last year Minerpalooza was celebrated the way it always has been since it began. But due to these uncertain times, we've been having to avoid large gatherings. Since Covid-19 cases were on the rise in El Paso we've had to adjust to a new way of life for now. We're used to celebrating Minerpalooza at UTEP with family and friends. But since the pandemic celebrating Minerpalooza will be a little different this year. You can enjoy this big celebration right in the comfort of your own home. Some locals are excited since this means you can stay cool and out of the sun. Last year one of their acts was Lovely The Band which put on a damn good show. This year, it is still a secret as to what kind of music acts they will be entertaining you with. You can keep checking their attractions page for upcoming acts.
