With so much attention this week in the sports world toward "Deflategate", I wanted to see firsthand what all the commotion is about. Earlier today, I spent time in the UTEP football equipment room and had the chance to grip a pair of brand new Nike game-ready footballs. Both footballs were fresh out of the plastic wrapper. One was inflated to the recommended 13 PSI, while the other was underinflated to 11 PSI.

The truth is, I had a very difficult time detecting the difference between both footballs, as did every staff member in the UTEP football equipment room. However, I am not a college or pro football player who bench presses 400 pounds and could grip and squeeze a football like a grapefruit. Special thanks to Sekou Walker and his UTEP Football Equipment room staff.
