Last week Brandon listed his five greatest Super Bowls of all time. For this week's subjective Super Bowl list, I have decided to ranks the worst games played. Before the salary cap, in the dynasty era, there were some real duds. If you are a fan of the winning team you won't think it was a bad game, but this list is not slanted towards or against any team.

    Super Bowl I

    Packers-35 Chiefs-10

Although officially titled the First AFL-NFL World Championship game, this snooze fest marked the first time a team from the NFL met a team from the AFL in a designated championship game. Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers spanked Hank Stram's Kansas City Chiefs 35-10. This game still remains the only Super Bowl that didn't sell out. Super Bowl I did little to dispel the notion that the NFL was a superior league to the AFL. Packers quarterback Bart Starr was the MVP of the game, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

    Super Bowl XXXV

    Ravens-34 Giants-7

Baltimore came into this game with the best statistical defense in NFL history. Led by Ray Lewis, the Ravens only allowed 165 points in the 2000 season. After a Giants loss to Detroit dropped the to 7-4, New York coach Jim Fassel famously guaranteed the Giants would make the playoffs. New York responded by not losing the rest of the season. As expected, this game was a defensive struggle early, but the Ravens used defense and special teams magic to pull away. One cool thing about this game was the three touchdowns scored in 36 seconds.

    Super Bowl XXIX

    49ers-49 Chargers-26

The 1994 Chargers weren't expected to make the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl. San Diego was able to upset heavily favored Pittsburgh to make their first Super Bowl losses. After losses to Dallas in 1993 and 1994, San Francisco was anxious to make it back to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XXIX would mark the first Super Bowl in 49er history that didn't feature Joe Montana. The 49ers scored the first 14 points in this game and never looked back. Steve Young threw a record six touchdown passes en route to being the game's MVP.

    Super Bowl XX

    Bears-46 Patriots-10

This was a mismatch from the start. The Patriots were no match for the ferocious Bears' defense. New England was held to -19 yard in the first half, and finished the game with only 123 yards from scrimmage. The most indelible image of this game is 'the Fridge' rumbling into the end zone for a one yard touchdown. The '85 Bears garnered a lot of national media attention because of their success on the field and cast of colorful characters.

    Super Bowl XXVII

    Cowboys-52 Bills-17

The number one spot was a toss up between this game and Super Bowl XXIV, where the 49ers crushed the Broncos 55-10. Since I already included a San Fran rout, I gave the nod to Dallas. Super Bowl XXVII marked the third straight Super Bowl appearance for the Buffalo Bills, all losses. The most memorable play of this game occurred when it was well out of hand. Cowboys lineman Leon Lett picked of a Frank Reich fumble and was about the cross the goal line for a score until Bills receiver Don Beebe hustled to knock the ball out of Lett's hands. Bebee's play kept the Cowboys from setting the all time scoring mark in Super Bowl history.
