Fresh off the heels of their best season in the history of Texas Tech Soccer, the team is opening the 2015 season ranked 15th in the preseason NSCAA Top 25 poll.

This is the highest preseason ranking ever for the Red Raiders, who ended the 2014 campaign at 14th in the nation. They opened the 2013 and 2014 at 17th and 23rd respectively.

With eight starters returning off the Sweet 16 team, the Red Raiders will have to contend with a stacked Big 12 which features WVU and Kansas both also in the Top 25. OU and Texas also received votes.

Texas Tech reports to training for the 2015 season August 4. The Red Raiders are scheduled for one exhibition match before opening the regular season on August 21 against Southern California at the Lobo Invitational by New Mexico.

Texas Tech will kick off their slate of nine home matches at the John Walker Soccer Complex on August 28 when the Red Raiders host the Bulldogs of Georgia in a 7 p.m. start.
