During Sunday’s final round of the Frys.com Open, a fan ran at Tiger Woods — who was putting on the seventh green — yelled the former world number one’s name, and then tossed a hot dog at him. “When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air,” Woods said. “The bun was kind of disintegrating.”

After 778 consecutive weeks as one of the top 50 golfers, Tiger Woods dropped out of the sport’s elite this week. Woods, now ranked 51st in the world, is recovering from injuries to his knees and Achilles tendon that had him sidelined. He finished 2010 in second, and tied for fourth at the Masters earlier this year.

Keegan Bradley, who staged a late-round comeback to force a three-hole playoff, won the PGA Championship on Sunday, edging out Jason Dufner. Bradley became just the third golfer ever to win a championship in his first appearance at a major.
