A couple of weeks ago Chapin was playing red hot football as they had won their first 8 games of the season, and seemed to be on their way to winning the District I-5A crown with ease.  The old cliché 'it's not how you start, it's how you finish,' became rather evident for the Huskies as they lost their final two regular season games to Burges and Andress, hence squandering away a sure District ch

The Chapin Huskies dominated the Austin Panthers from the opening kickoff until the final snap winning the game 56-3 at the Sun Bowl.

The Chapin Huskies volleyball team continues it's unbeaten run in District 1-4A as they swept the Jefferson Silver Foxes, 25-23, 25-20, 25-15. The 8-0 Huskies are now ranked 21st in the state by the Texas Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Chapin Huskies looked to make a statement to open the defense of their District 1-4A crown. It took coach Rene Hernandez's squad until the fourth quarter to do it, but eventually the Huskies' athleticism wore down the Burges Mustangs earning Chapin its first win of the season, 26-14.

It was a big matchup in District to kick off the District 1-4A season and Time Warner Cable Sports was there for the Chapin-Burges game Friday night. TWC Sports will re-broadcast the game on Channel 24 Wednesday or Thursday next week at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The Chapin Huskies experienced a nightmare on Friday as they were outmatched by Las Cruces at the Field of Dreams.  The Huskies began the game in a rather inauspicious fashion when quarterback Seth Gonzalez fumbled the ball on their first play from scrimmage.

After eleven weeks the high school football season is over and we can look ahead to the playoffs. All our 5-A schools are out of town while we will have four 4-A games here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

It's hard to believe, but we have reached the final week of the regular season. All the playoff spots are locked down in 1-4A and 1-5A. Canutillo, Horizon, and Ysleta are all vying for the final two spots in 2-4A. It should be a fun final week....
