The UTEP men's basketball program will serve as a substitute for NM State and face the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, Dec. 12, in the McKale Center (Tucson, Arizona).
Amid 16 different lead changes, the UTEP men's basketball team (2-0) outlasted Sul Ross State (Div. III) 84-65 on Saturday night at the Haskins Center.
UTEP postponed its original game against Arizona Christian with hopes to reschedule it at a later date. The Miners will now host Sul Ross State on Saturday.
As a result of a positive case of COVID-19 and subsequent contact tracing within the UTEP program, the Arizona game on Sunday, Nov. 29, has been postponed.
UTEP men’s basketball (1-1) will face a tough threat early into their season, as they square off against Pac-12 affiliate Arizona (2-0) on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the McKale Center.
Year one under Rodney Terry has not yet taken a break as the Miners are set to face their share of tough opponents and old foes in the 2018-19 men’s basketball schedule.
