To begin the Flashbacks, we give you Pat Summerall from 1997. Summerall passed away on Monday at the age of 82.

One of the great broadcasters of all time, Summerall was inducted into the Sun Bowl Hall of Fame in 1997 and a young Steve Kaplowitz just months on the job with SportsTalk had Summerall on to discuss the Hall of Fame and many other things.

"In fact if I didn't get the Sun Bowl assignment in the years I was at CBS, it was pretty upsetting because I looked forward to it."
