Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman, 24, was stabbed to death in his native Netherlands early Monday morning.

His 22-year-old brother is the primary suspect, according to reports. No charges have been filed yet.

“He is under arrest and right now he is being questioned,” a police spokeswoman said. “It will take some time to figure out what exactly happened.”

Halman spent seven seasons with the Mariners’ organization, appearing in 44 major league games over the last two seasons. He hit .207 with two homers and six runs batted in.
