A week after being eliminated from the playoffs, Don Mattingly and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to part ways.  Reports claim that winning the National League West wasn't enough for the ownership team of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Plus, the fact that they have the highest payroll in all of baseball didn't help either.

Mattingly, managed the team for five years and the team was 446-363 under him. They finished with a winning record in every season and won the last three NL West titles. But the Dodgers have not reached the World Series since winning the title in 1988.
