The 2016 college football season is less than three months away, and analyst Phil Steele joined Sportstalk yesterday to offer up his predictions for the upcoming campaign. One of the highlights of the conversation was that he listed UTEP 8th in most improved football teams in the country. However the Miners September 10th opponent, the Texas Longhorns, own the top spot for his most improved teams in 2016.

Steele talked at length about UTEP's chances to succeed on the field in C-USA, and he also spent time analyzing the rest of the conference. In addition, he forecasts the NMSU season, along with the Horns, Baylor, and the rest of the Big 12. Phil Steele's 2016 College Football Preview is shipping now and will be available in newsstands and bookstores later this month. To order your copy, visit his website.
