After 10 days of speculation, Paul Weir was named the 25th head men's basketball coach of the NMSU Aggies. Weir was introduced at a press conference yesterday afternoon at the Pan American Center and joined Sportstalk shortly thereafter to discuss his first ever head coaching job. He told 600 ESPN El Paso that he wants to continue the annual home and home rivalry with UTEP and his team will be a tougher group of players. Weir also discussed increasing attendance at home games by reaching out to the students as well as the Las Cruces community.

Weir also became the first Canadian born Division 1 men's basketball head coach in history. You can watch the complete NMSU press conference announcing Weir as the Aggies new head coach below.
