The New England Patriots used a fifth round pick of kicker Justin Rohrwasser in the 2020 NFL draft. They certainly needed a new kicker as they released long time kicker Stephen Gostkowski this past off season. And that was after Gostkowski spent most of last season on injured reserve.

It has been revealed that Rohrwasser has a tattoo associated with the Three Percenters, a far-right militia movement. Rohrwasser has since said:

As soon as I saw what it was linked to on Saturday, it was exactly that time I knew I had to get it totally taken off my body. I said cover it up [to reporters], but I want to get it removed from my body. It's shameful that I had it on there ignorantly.

Rohrwasser added:

It was described to me as the percentage of colonists that rose up against the government of the British. I was like, 'Wow, that is such an American sentiment, a patriotic sentiment.' Coming from a military family, I thought that really spoke to me. I always was proud to be an American. I'm very proud to be an American.

Jemele Hill sent out a tweet calling Rohrwasser a white supremacist, but I haven't been able to access any of the tweets that she claims was proof. Of course, that's not to say she doesn't have a point. Either way, I'd be willing to bet this isn't the last we've heard of this story.
