It was rumored over the weekend that the NFL was going to suspend Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant for substance abuse. Well today the NFL made it official. They have officially suspended Bryant without pay for a minimum of one year for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substance of Abuse.

Bryant will be eligible to apply for reinstatement within 60 days and the league can rule on it in that time frame as well. He won't be able to practice, play or engage in any team activities until he is reinstated by the league. Even after he is reinstated, there is no guarantee that he will play in Pittsburgh because the team is very disappointed in him.
