New York Met And El Pasoan Omar Quintanilla On 600 ESPN El Paso [AUDIO]
El Paso's own and New York Met Omar Quintanilla had a day off today before starting a series in Chicago against the White Sox and took time to give us a call.
Not only that but after the Mets win on Sunday, Omar text Steve to say Monday was good to call. How cool is that?
Quintanilla talks about his El Paso roots, the end of last year getting traded from the Mets to the Orioles and now back with the Mets, what his manager Terry Collins said about him, everyday at bats in the big leagues, nice to be on the field when Santana threw the no hitter, finding his groove this past weekend hitting, playing with Matt Harvey and Zach Wheeler and much more.
"When you are playing everyday you have the timing of seeing the pitches and the less at bats you get it messes with your timing an you don't read the pitches as well."
