On Saturday, I spent my afternoon in Avondale, Arizona watching Jamie Dick compete in the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. It was my first ever NASCAR race and I was invited by Jamie's father, Jimmy to watch the race from their pit box. When I accepted Jimmy's offer, I had no idea how close I would be to the action. Imagine being only a few feet from every major NASCAR star and their race cars. That was my vantage point throughout the 200 lap race. Jamie began the race in the 32nd spot, but finished 23rd. It was a strong performance for the Nationwide Series rookie, who will compete in another 13 races this season.

It was a busy day for me in the pits with Jamie's #23 Viva Auto group team.

If you ever wondered about how fast it takes to change tires from the pit, here is a great view of Jamie's final pit stop during Saturday's race.
