Miguel Cotto Makes History With Impressive Win Over Sergio Martinez

Last night, Miguel Cotto look like a man on a mission. From entering the ring with nothing more than the cheers of his fans, to the discipline he showed when hurting Sergio Martinez throughout the fight, Cotto look like it was all business.

Most of this could be due to his fairly new trainer, Freddie Roach, who Cotto picked up for his fight against Delvin Rodriguez, which he won by TKO in the 3rd round.

The left hook was obviously Cotto's most valuable weapon on Saturday night, After sending Martinez to the canvas three times in the first round with his left hook, Martinez never really recovered from that early damage.

It was in the 10th round when Martinez's corner had seen enough and stopped the fight.

With his recent victory, Cotto becomes the only Puerto Rican Boxer to win titles in four weight classes (middleweight, junior middleweight, welterweight and junior welterweight.)

So whats next for Cotto? Well according to him, he is going to spend time with his family and leave the decision making to Freddie Roach but the rumor mill is already swirling with potential match-ups with Canelo Alvarez, Mayweather, and even Chavez Jr.

The truth is Cotto is in a great position to get pretty much whatever he wants.
