It might just be my wild & crazy imagination but it looks like 7-Eleven is selling liquor these days. In TEXAS!

Growing up in Texas, like myself, every highschooler and college kid knows, you have to buy liquor at liqour stores.

Not so much in New Mexico however, as those lucky people can buy airline sized bottles of liqour at all their favorite convenience stores.

Which is why I was surprised when I recently went on trip to my local 7-Eleven and saw a shocking, surprising, yet pleasant new sight. It seems like 7-Eleven is now hawking fireball liquors, you know the cinnamon-flavored whiskey most college kids consume as an enitre diet?

Now, based on my time driving across the state lines of Texas and New Mexico I have never seen liquor being sold in a convenience store. But the second you enter New Mexico every convenience store has as many shooters of whatever liquor you wanted.

What texan wouldn't be surprised by the sight of such a wonderous display!

After an exhaustive search through the complicated web of laws that governs texas liquor licenses, I discovered a website that spelled it all out.

"You must be 21-years-old to legally drink in the state of Texas. … Liquor can only be bought from specific liquor stores. Grocery stores, drug stores, convenience stores, etc. DO NOT sell liquor, only beer and wine."

Well, unless something has changed, 7-11 is doing some CRAZY stuff!!!
