Just about 12 months from this time of year marked the time when Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs notched his first Defensive Player of the Year award. Now, Leonard has consecutively achieved the DPOY honor. Not only is 'The Klaw' the best defensive player on the team, he is also the leading scorer for the Spurs as he averages 21.2 points per game. Check out Kawhi play stellar defense on one of the games best scorers in KD.

Leonard beat out Golden State's Draymond Green and Miami Heat big man Hassan Whiteside for the honor. Green had been a triple-double machine for the Dubs in the regular season and Hassan Whiteside has posted video game numbers this year defensively. One thing all three players have in common though, playoffs.

San Antonio has had a tremendous year after posting a franchise best 67-15 record. The addition of Lamarcus Aldridge has helped them tremendously and David West has been a key contributor as well. San Antonio leads Memphis 1-0 in the first round series and most likely will away the winner of the Oklahoma City/Dallas series that is tied 1-1.
