Gross! What Is This Disgusting Toxic Meltdown In A Lubbock Refrigerator?
It seems like every office has a least one extremely questionable food item, which has been there since the Eisenhower administration. This is especially true in radio stations, since we are generally extremely disgusting humanoids.
This past Christmas, we had a small gathering of employees around here, which led to some leftovers being placed in our communal refrigerator.
One of those items, was a bowl of (what we can only guess was) gravy. I mean, it was brown once. Emphasis on "was" and "once".
A couple of folks around here started questioning how long it had been there, and if it was going to be thrown away. That sent me into action to save the day.
This, was my face when I opened the fridge:
This was the last thing that toxic soup saw.
I carefully pulled back the plastic that was on top of the bowl, and was horrified to find that there was a fairly thick layer of what we will call "Not Gravy".
Fun Fact: Gravy isn't green...or pink. See why it needed to go?
The question at this point, was what to do with the "gravy" that was removed from the crime scene? I considered dumping it down the sink, but the stench was so overpowering, that it seemed unfair. I had to find somewhere that would mask the odor, and also was environmentally safe.
After a moment, I remembered a place where it could be hidden away, not seem out of place:
Yep, Wes Nessman's Microwave.
Boy, won't he be delighted in the morning!
Bon Appetit!
