Green Bay running back Aaron Jones is out for his second consecutive game, as he continues to work through a calf injury.

The Packers beat Houston last week, in which Jones missed his first game of the season. Green Bay announced on Friday that Jones wouldn't be available this weekend, as the team faces Minnesota on Sunday. Jones missed practice on Thursday and Friday.

The UTEP alum has been special for the team this year, rushing for 389 yards and scoring five rushing touchdowns. He's coming off his most productive season last year, when he rushed for 1,084 yards and 16 touchdowns and caught 49 passes for 474 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Backups Jamaal Williams and rookie AJ Dillon will take the bulk of the carries this week for the Packers, as the No. 1 and No. 2 tailbacks, respectively.

Jones will sit out Sunday and hope to rejoin the team in time against the 49ers on Thursday night football in week nine.
