New York Giants offensive lineman Will Hernandez, who played his college ball at UTEP, tested positive last night for the coronavirus. He was immediately placed on the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.

According to ESPN, Hernandez was immediately put in self isolation after his positive COVID test. He is the first Giants player to test positive since the start of the NFL season. Giants head coach Joe Judge said that he is not presently concerned about his team's availability to play Monday night against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

"To us, this is just a sudden change," Judge said in a Zoom call earlier today. "We just keep on moving forward. We emphasize working on what we can really accomplish as a team."

Hernandez was selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft and he has been a mainstay on the Giants offensive line. He has started all 39 games with the team since his rookie season and he has not missed any time due to injury.
