Former Miss El Paso Arrested For Shoplifting

Pardon me for being a little mean spirited on this post, but some things I can't resist. Remember earlier in the year when Cincinnati Reds pitcher Mike Leake was arrested for shoplifting.  Leake was accused of stealing nearly $60 worth of t-shirts at a Cincinnati area Macy's.  Leake may have found a girl after his own heart, and she's a looker too.

Over the weekend, 2008 Miss El Paso winner Lorena Tavera was accused of shoplifting.  Police said Tavera stole a $69 dollar shirt from the Dillard's at Sunland Park Mall.  Tavera was stopped by police outside the store.  She was arrested on suspicion of theft over $50, under $500.

In the grand scheme of things, stealing a shirt is not egregious offense.  The bigger crime would be if Tavera doesn't learn from her mistake, allegedly.
