El Paso Community College will stream and televise a virtual graduation ceremony to honor all of their 2020 graduates.

The pandemic has put a damper on college and high school commencements since it hit in March of 2020, but a quick look at social media accounts serves as a reminder that while school and graduation has been everything but traditional lately, students are still completing their coursework and EARNING their various degrees.

On Saturday, December 19, EPCC will honor it’s more than 4,000 graduates from the Class of 2020.  This virtual commencement will encompass Spring, Summer, and Fall semester graduates.  It’s no secret that most people would have preferred to walk across the stage and be handed their diploma with their families, friend, and other loved ones in attendance but as the COVID pandemic has dragged on, those large-scale gatherings just weren’t possible to be held safely.

This weekend’s EPCC commencement will be live streamed at 7 p.m. at epcc.edu and on EPCC-TV which can be found on channel 12.2 and Spectrum channel 1301.

For those wondering about UTEP’s commencement plans, Fall 2020 graduates are currently set to be honored this coming May alongside Spring 2021 grads in one large ceremony at the Sun Bowl.
