COVID Or Allergies? Here’s How To Tell The Difference
Now that we have all gotten sort of used to living with the COVID pandemic and are out and about a lot more than we were the past two years, we are facing questions like do I have allergies or COVID. I checked it out and here are what the main symptoms of each illness looks like:
FLU
Fever
Sore throat
Cough
Headache
Muscle aches & chills
Stuffy nose
Fatigue
ALLERGIES
Sneezing
Cough
Runny, stuffy nose
Watery, red, itchy eyes
Wheezing and shortness of breath
CORONAVIRUS
Fever of 100.4°F or higher
Cough
Shortness of breath
Difficulty breathing
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure
REMEMBER THE FIRST DAYS OF COVID?
When the COVID pandemic first started we were asking people things like have traveled recently, where did you go, and have you been on cruise ship recently. Now we just asked to tip our heads back so a very long cotton swab can be pushed into our noses and then we wait for test results.
USE YOUR MASKS DURING ALLERGY SEASON
A lot of people are saying that they are tired of using masks and that is totally understandable but they are very important not only to keep you from being exposed from COVID but also to keep you from being exposed to the flu and keep pollen out of your mouth and nose especially during our spring winds. No one wants to wear a mask but I'll keep wearing mine to avoid all three of these illnesses. Happy allergy season!
