The El Paso Rhinos are preparing for their first season in the North American Hockey League. The club held their first tryout camp last month and yesterday, they participated in the NAHL Entry Draft. The Rhinos were fortunate enough to have the first overall pick in the draft and they selected Jordan Zelenak, a 6'3 forward from Buffalo, Minnesota. Billy Sullivan, the Rhinos Director of Player Personnel, believes that Zelenak has a ton of untapped potential that he can show in El Paso.

With the 30th overall pick, the Rhinos took Stepan Kuznetsov, a 6'0 right winger who was born in Russia. Kuznetsov played last season at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. They took their first defenseman at 53rd overall with Parker Anderson from the University of Detroit Jesuit Academy. Here is the complete list of all ten draft picks.

Duke Keith, the voice of the Rhinos since their inception, had an opportunity to speak with both Zelenak and forward Phillip Quetell, who was selected in the fourth round in yesterday's draft.
