Election Day may have been on November 3, but not all local races were decided.  For those races that are currently in a runoff, including the mayoral race, early voting began today and will continue through December 8.

City races in which a candidate fails to get 50% of the vote automatically go into a runoff.  This is why Oscar Leeser and incumbent Mayor Dee Margo are still campaigning even though Leeser garnered significantly more votes earlier this month.

Other races currently in a runoff include the City Rep seat for District 2 between incumbent Alexsandra Anello and Judy Gutierrez as well as the District 4 City Rep seat between incumbent Sam Morgan and Joe Molinar.

While early voting will end on December 8, it will take a short hiatus for Thanksgiving on Thursday as well as on Friday November 27 before resuming once again on Saturday, November 28.  Regular election/voting day for those runoff seats will be on December 12.
