A Closer Look at the E-GO Cruiser — The Lightest Electric Skateboard You Can Get
Maybe we should get the whole "Hey, it's 2015 -- where's my hoverboard?" joke out of the way right at the start. Boom. Done. Moving right along, instead of nonexistent technology predicted by a 26-year-old sci-fi flick, why don't we instead focus on what we actually can get out hands on. Namely, the E-GO Cruiser electric longboard, which is pretty damn fine piece of equipment in its own right, even if it too can't work over water.
Some quick stats about the E-GO Cruiser:
- Riding range: 18 miles
- Weight: just 13 pounds
- Riding time: 3 hours
- Recharge time: 3–5 hours
- Measurements: 38"L x 11"W x 7"H
- Dual speed modes: slow or fast, for novice and experienced riders
- App-compatible with iOS or Android
Not too shabby, eh? And it ain't too bad to look at either, as you can see above (video below, too). It'll run you $699 at the E-GO website, but you can get $50 off till next week over at Touch of Modern.
