UTEP’s biggest party of the year has a date.

One of the university's most celebrated traditions, Minerpalooza, will take place on Friday, August 30, on the University of Texas at El Paso campus. Now in its 29th year, Minerpalooza kicks off the new school year with local eats, beats, and family-friendly attractions.

Although the entertainment lineup has not been revealed and won't be for a few more weeks, the annual welcome back to school bash typically includes a well-known national recording artist or DJ and local bands.

Adding to the party-like atmosphere are appearances by the UTEP football team, Paydirt Pete, UTEP cheerleads, Golddiggers, and the UTEP band.

Activities for the kids, such as games, inflatable’s and face-painting are always part of the mix as well as food trucks and food booths. And you don't have to be a UTEP student to attend. Minerpalooza 2019 is free and open to everyone.

Picks up, party down!
