Last night was a great night for NASCAR. The 11-time most popular driver as voted on by the fans, Dale Earnhardt Jr, won the Daytona 500 for the second time in his career.

Although Dale Jr had only won one race in the past 5 years, he is the most loved driver in the sport since his father, Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Surprisingly, Dale Jr was not on Twitter. OK. He was on Twitter but as you can see below, he had an account with 226.9K followers. Yet he had not sent out one tweet and he had not followed anyone. Amazing right?

Michael Waltrip made a bet with Jr that if he won the 500, he would have to truly get on Twitter. And the reaction to Jr finally tweeting has be incredible.

In the last 12 hours or so, Jr has sent out four tweets and went to 336K followers. Jr knows what a "selfie" is and his third tweet was a home run which I attached below.

By far the photo has to be one of the coolest around and we may not have it if not for Twitter. This should be one of the better accounts to follow and if you haven't done so yet, you need to follow him... @DaleJr.
