Love him or hate him, Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. Oh what's that? You want to cry deflategate? Brady's stats have gone up since that witch hunt. Go ahead, look them up.

But anyway, Super Bowl 53 will be Brady's 40th playoff game. Here are some crazy stats involving Tom Brady and the Super Bowl.

  • 18 of the 32 franchises in the NFL have played in less playoff games than Brady.
  • Brady has won 29 playoff games. Only five teams have won more.
    • Of course New England - 36
    • Pittsburgh - 36
    • Dallas - 35
    • Green Bay - 34
    • San Francisco - 30
  • Brady has thrown 73 touchdowns in the playoffs. A record that will most likely never be toppled as number 2 on the list is Joe Montana with 45, and third is Aaron Rodgers with 36.
  • He has also thrown the most playoff interceptions with 33. But that's still just a .85 interceptions per game in the playoffs.
  • Brady's first playoff touchdown pass came in Super Bowl 36 against St. Louis with an 8 yard pass to David Patten.
  • Brady is the second youngest quarterback to win Super Bowl. He was 24 when the Pats beat the Rams.
    • Ben Roethlisberger was 23 when the Steelers won Super Bowl 40.
  • If the Patriots win Super Bowl 53, Brady would be the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl.
