After a season and a half, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach David Blatt. The Cavs have the best record in the Eastern Conference at 30-11 but this past Monday, the Golden State Warriors embarrassed the Cavs by blowing them out in Cleveland.  That and the rumors circulating that Blatt never really had connected with the team could have been his downfall.

Overall, Blatt coached the Cavs to a 83-40 record and lead the team to the NBA Finals but lost to the Warriors.

Assistant coach Tyronn Lue has been named the new coach of the Cavaliers, signing a three year contract with the team.  Lue will make his debut as head coach on Saturday night when the Cavs play the Chicago Bulls at 6:30, which you can hear on 600 ESPN El Paso
