The El Paso Chihuahuas scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning in their 7-5 win over the Las Vegas 51s Tuesday at Cashman Field. El Paso trailed 3-2 in the seventh when Alex Castellanos hit a home run to left field, tying the game. One inning later, the Chihuahuas four-run outburst pushed El Paso ahead. The rally included nine batters and five hits, four of which came with no outs.

 

Tyler Greene went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI in the win. Brooks Conrad went 2-for-4 with an RBI in his first game after being optioned from San Diego. Pat Murphy maneuvered four double switches and multiple defensive changes throughout the game against the Mets affiliate. Second baseman Taylor Lindsey was the only Chihuahua who ended the game at the same position he started. Six Chihuahuas played multiple positions in the win.

 

The win over first place Las Vegas got second place El Paso to 8.5 games out of first.

 

The Chihuahuas got on the board in the second inning with this Cody Decker RBI double.

 

In the seventh inning, Alex Castellanos hit this solo blast.

 

The eighth inning saw the Chihuahuas plate four runs and Taylor Lindsey was responsible for these two when he hit this single.
