As I was sipping on a Pistol Pete's 1888 Ale at Aggie Memorial Stadium last Saturday night, I happened to see UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter. I asked him when the Miners could start collaborating with local craft breweries on a special themed beer. Senter told me that it is a challenge because of the University of Texas system and not to expect it anytime soon. He did not however, tell me that one of El Paso's best craft breweries would be coming to UTEP football just in time for their home opener on Saturday.

Today, DeadBeach Brewery announced that they will offer their DeadBeach Lager and Chi-Hua-Hefe beers at the Sun Bowl for all UTEP football home games during the 2021 season.

"We are incredibly proud to be partnering with UTEP Athletics," Jason Hunt, Managing Partner of DeadBeach Brewery said earlier today in an official release. "I have been coming to UTEP games my entire life. Local community support is what drives us here at DeadBeach, and having the ability to showcase DeadBeach beer at the Sun Bowl helps solidify the importance of our local roots."

DeadBeach Brewery craft beer will be available for purchase in the main stadium concourse, at the GECU Terrace, and in the Party Patio. Cheers everyone!
