I came upon this article while mindlessly perusing the 'net as we all do on a daily basis and had to share! Since marijuana is now legal for recreational use in over 20 states, (still not in Texas), how many times has your cousin heard that you're headed to Vegas for the weekend and asked, 'oooh can you bring me back some of that good-good?'

Don't lie, it's happened. More than once! Or if you're headed to a closer state such as New Mexico, to hit up a casino and Karen from work asks if you will do her a small favor. To which you may respond 'I know what you're about to ask and the answer is no! I'm not trying to get caught crossing state lines for your recreational pleasure Ms.Thang.'

My response to that is good answer because YES you can get in trouble if you get busted.

If you are flying, TSA's screening procedures are not looking for drugs per se, however, if they do find drugs on you, marijuana or otherwise, you will be reported to law enforcement.

According to this story on Yahoo.com,

If you purchased marijuana while in Colorado and then traveled to Texas with the substance, you have broken the law. It doesn’t matter if the marijuana was purchased legally, as soon as it crosses Texas state lines its considered contraband.

Bottom line, its not worth it! Attempting to cross Texas state lines where marijuana is illegal, be it for yourself, a friend, a family member or foe just isn't worth the risk.
