Carolina Panther rookie QB Cam Newton is somewhat unusual among modern football players in that he doesn’t have a single tattoo.

If Panther owner Jerry Richardson has his say, it’s going to stay that way.

In a recent interview with Charlie Rose, Richardson explained that when Newton told him he had no tats, he informed his number one draft pick that he doesn’t want him to get any while he’s a Panther. He also told the 22-year old to avoid body piercing, and keep his clean-cut hairstyle.

Richardson probably doesn’t have the authority to actually enforce his grooming tips, but keeping the guy who just gave you a four-year, $22 million contract happy is considered good form.
