Last week, the UTEP women's basketball team traveled to Long Beach, California to play in a three-team tournament that featured Long Beach State and UNLV. The Miners split the two games and are currently 9-1 on the season.

As the team arrived in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), they were waiting for their bags when suddenly a number of men and women broke out in song. At first, the Miners looked around in bewilderment along with the rest of the fliers in the baggage claim area. However, the team soon realized that something special was happening at LAX. The Azusa Pacific Choir had secretly disguised themselves as people waiting for their bags and they surrounded everyone while singing "Carol of the Bells" and later "Sing We All Noel".

I was part of the UTEP traveling party to LAX and quickly took out my iPhone to video the impromptu holiday performance by the Azusa Pacific Choir. It was a great way to start the road trip and an unforgettable holiday experience.
