I'm a huge fan of wrestling. Growing up I've had many great memories with the Attitude Era & the Ruthless Aggression Era in the WWE. I loved watching The Rock, the Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian... but some of my favorite wrestlers definitely included Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Hell I would basically recite Austin 3:16 in my sleep...

Living in El Paso, of course I would ALWAYS cheer on the Guerreros; Chavo & the late Eddie Guerrero. (They certainly weren't the first nor the last wrestlers to ever represent El Paso either...)

But my favorite growing up was The Deadman... The Phenom... The Undertaker.

All the wrestlers I mentioned above, were all from Texas. But they certainly the only ones that became legends in Teas & indeed wrestling. You had names like:

  • The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes
  • Tito Santana
  • Jake "The Snake" Roberts
  • The Von Erich family
  • John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Even wrestlers like Booker T or Shawn Michaels. Even though they weren't BORN in Texas, they still became huge names FROM Texas & each founded wrestling companies IN the state of Texas. Booker T would even try running for mayor of Houston.

So you can't ignore those facts...

And that's just scratching the surface on some of the most famous names in wrestling from Texas. There are many more names (both past & present) that you know.

So if you want to see more names, you can see plenty more down below. See which ones YOU remember watching, which ones you loved to cheer (or boo).
