2012 NMSU Football Schedule

NMSU head football coach DeWayne Walker knows what is at stake for his Aggies in 2012.

The quest for their first bowl game in over half a century is well documented, but 2012 is likely the lame duck season for the WAC football members.

NMSU athletic direcetor, Dr. McKinley Boston, has hinted on numerous occasions that NMSU is likely to go independent in football in 2013.

That may work for Notre Dame and BYU, but it is not sustainable for a program like NMSU.

Walker's Aggies showed vast improvements in 2011, and the schedule is very manageable in 2012.

With good play and a little luck along the way, the Aggies have a good chance to become bowl eligible this season.
