We are starved for sports like never before. To get our fill many of us have been watching sports movies from the past even if in some cases we are watching the same film for the 100^th time. At the same time, we are also missing bracket madness that was associated with the NCAA Basketball Tournament which would be getting into full swing this weekend.

So with that said and with input from others I have come up with the best sports movies of the past 50 years. They are divided into four regions and named in honor of some of the best fictional characters in sports movie history. By the way, there are no sequels so you can one Rocky and one only…it’s the original which was by far the best.
