For the second straight year, Basketball In The Barrio will be virtual. The long running summer camp, where children from the Segundo Barrio and Chamizal neighborhoods learn basketball skills, border culture, and literary elements will be held online this Saturday, June 12th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 can register for free by visiting the official sign-up link at eventbrite.

The camp offers kids a chance to improve their ball handling skills, learn to play the harmonica, plus they will have a chance to demonstrate their art skills, dance, jump rope, writing, and many more. Since the camp went virtual during the pandemic last year, Basketball in the Barrio arranged for their special guest speakers to appear via Zoom and interact with all of the children during the three hour session.

For more information on the camp, please text Steve Yellen with any questions at (915) 300-5970.
