UTEP introduced former Fresno State coach Rodney Terry as the 19th head coach in program history at the Foster Stevens Center on Wednesday afternoon.  Terry sustained tremulous success while at Fresno State by leading the Bulldogs to the 2016 Mountain West Conference Tournament title and three postseason bids in the last five years, while accumulating an overall record of 126-108.  Coach Terry spent a total of seven seasons at Fresno State and endured 20-win campaigns in four of the last five years.

Terry, a native of Texas, is known for his exceptional recruiting skills, and during his nine year tenure as an assistant coach for Texas, he led a total of 10 McDonald's All-Americans including, Brad Buckman, LaMarcus Aldridge, Daniel Gibson, Mike Williams, D.J. Augustin, Kevin Durant, Jai Lucas, Avery Bradley, Cory Joseph, and Tristan Thompson.
