We are now into the home stretch of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League group stage, with Matchday 5 on the horizon Tuesday and Wednesday, November 23 and 24.

There are some very intriguing contests on both days, but maybe the better day of action is the second one, with so much up for grabs in all four groups to play Wednesday.

There is a winner take all contest in Group C between the two teams trailing six points back of surprising Ajax, Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund, as per British Gambler. The two teams already played on Matchday 2, with the German side squeaking out a 1-0 victory. Since then, though, the Portuguese champions beat Besiktas twice (4-1, 4-0), and can move into the knockout stages with a two-goal win (or with a win and a point on Matchday 6).

Of course, all eyes will be on Manchester (aren’t they always?), as PSG and Manchester City battle for Group A supremacy. If PSG loses, and Club Brugge beats RB Leipzig, it could make for an interesting final day on December 7.

Here are a few of the games worth betting with free bets, odds, prop wagers, and predictions.

UEFA Champions League Matchday 5

Group B

Besiktas (+475) v Ajax (-180), draw (+355)

Time: 12:45 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Paramount+ and fubo.TV

Preview: the Dutch side has rolled through Group C, with four wins in four, and outscoring their opponents 14-2. Ajax won the first encounter 2-0 in Amsterdam, and will certainly end up on top of the group. If they can win in Turkey, Ajax can rest players on Matchday 6, which is always a luxury.

Prediction: I have to think Ajax goes out and takes care of business here, but make sure you check the lineup prior to the contest. Remember, it is one of the two early matches that day. Take Ajax -1 on the Asian handicap at odds of -112.

Best prop bet predictions:

Ajax over 2.5 team goals (+160)

Ajax halftime/fulltime (+125)

Group A

Manchester City (-150) v PSG (+400), draw (+310)

Time: 3 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Paramount+ and fubo.TV

Preview: PSG came back after a Matchday 1 draw to Brugge and stunned City 2-0. That was City’s lone blemish in the group so far, and Pep Guardiola knows a win would lock up the group and allow him to rest players on Matchday 6.

Prediction: hard to look past the Cityzens here, especially in front of the large crowd at the Etihad. I will take City on the -0.75 Asian handicap line at odds of -117, and hope they win by two goals to win all your money.

Best prop bet predictions:

City over 1.5 goals (-165)

City halftime/fulltime (+150)

Group D

Sheriff Tiraspol (+1000) v Real Madrid (-385), draw (+525)

Time: 3 p.m. EDT

TV channel: Paramount+ and fubo.TV

Preview: when these two teams played on Matchday 2, it was one of the most stunning results in Champions League group stage history. Sheriff, playing in only its second group stage match ever, scored late to beat Real Madrid 2-1. It was the Moldovan side’s second win to start their campaign. This is actually a huge contest, because a win for Sheriff at home moves them into the driver’s seat to qualify over Real Madrid.

Prediction: I can’t see that happening, though; go with Real Madrid to win on the -1.5 goal line at odds of -135.

Best prop bet predictions:

Real Madrid -1.75 Asian handicap -105

Real Madrid over 2.5 team goals -115
