Cruncthime will be live from Barnett Harley-Davidson this Saturday for their Stuff The Truck event and we have a phenomenal show planned for you!  The 145th Kentucky Derby, AKA "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY is on Saturday, and our featured guest will be Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith, who won the Triple Crown on Justify last year.

As of Friday, it was announced that Smith will now be riding the 10 horse, Sunland Derby winner Cutting Humor in the Kentucky Derby after his prior horse 4-1 favorite Omaha Beach was scratched on Wednesday.   He is one of the top jockeys in horse racing history as he became the oldest rider ever to have won the Triple Crown at age 52 last year.  Smith was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2003, has a record 26 Breeders' Cups wins and is the second leading jockey of all time in earnings with more than $312 million.

Besides winning the Kentucky Derby twice (2005 2018), some of Smith's other career accomplishments include winning the Prekaness Stakes twice, (1993, 2018), the Belmont Staes three times, (2010, 2013, 2018), and he won the 1993 ESPY award for top U.S. jockey.  Among the topics discussed with Smith will be about his place in history as one of just 13 jockeys to have won a Triple Crown in horse racing, his thoughts on riding the favorite and some of the most exhilarating moments in his storied career.

Without question, Smith is one of the biggest guests that we've ever had on Cruncthime, and having him on the day of the Kentucky Derby is simply awesome!  Our interview with Mike Smith will air at 11:30.  Tune in to Crunctime on Saturdays from 10-1pm on 600 ESPN El Paso, or on our free app 600 ESPN El Paso.com.
