Among the announcements was a new scholarship program for high school students and a special wrestling style belt awarded to the Home Run Derby Champion.
The All-Star Legacy Scholarship Program will be available to area high school students in pursuit of a post secondary education. It will provide financial support to them as they pursue a college degree. Prospective students will have until May 30th to apply for the program and can enter as high school freshmen. They must maintain a 2.5 GPA and a minimum of 20 community service hours per year. Five students from El Paso and Dona Ana County areas will be selected for the All-Star Program.
