Everyone at the radio station is getting ready for Taste of El Paso and we are all excited about all the delicious food we are going to have then. Check out one of the wonderful restaurants that is going to be at Taste of El Paso- Julio's Cafe Corona.

Julio's Cafe Corona was established in Juarez, Mexico by Julio and Guadalupe Ramirez. The restaurant started in a small building with only four tables to a hot spot known not only by locals but celebrities like Jack Nicholson as well. In 1981, Julio's finally came to El Paso and opened its doors to this side of the border. Now with two locations in El Paso, it is the best place to go and get delicious Mexican food.

When I went to Julio's I was able to sample a wide variety of delicious cuisine. The first items I was given was the tortilla soup and the Julio Special, which is chicken consommé with rice, fresh avocados, tomatoes, onions and tasty cilantro. Both soups had delicious flavor and left you satisfied.

The next thing we were given was the Filete Tampiquena Style, which is A thin strip of beef tenderloin, guacamole, enchilada, pepper strips and beans. The next item was the Puntas de Filete, which is Beef tenderloin tips, sauteed with onions, tomatoes and jalapeños. Served with beans and guacamole. Both items were juicy, filling, and had tons of flavor. I would recommend both to any customers coming into this restaurant.
