All the momentum UTEP had after consecutive wins over Memphis and Southern Miss seems to be gone.  After a lackluster performance against UCF over the weekend, the Miners dropped their final home game of the season, 68-61 to Rice. If the Miners were going to lose to a C-USA opponent, it was going to be a solid team that put together a solid effort. Basically, a perfect storm Today, that storm blew into the Don Haskins Center then blew out taking away the Miners perfect C-USA season and dropped the Miners to 25-3 overall and 14-1 in C-USA...

In front of the largest crowd of the season, the Miners put together a strong performance and put away the SMU Mustangs 68-50 to clinch the outright C-USA Championship. With the win, UTEP moved to 25-2 overall and 14-0 in C-USA. Funny thing though, the celebration you would expect following a regular season conference championship didn't happen...

On the day of Coach Adams 300th victory celebration, her Miners gave her number 301 in a 67-38 beat down of the University of Central Florida and moved to 8-0 in C-USA and 19-2 overall. Jumping out to a 7-0 run to start the game, the Miners took a 33-18 lead into halftime and never looked back...
