The Canutillo Eagles have made history as they have done something that no other high school team has done before, they've made it to the Texas 5A semifinal game.

In a classic game between the Franklin Cougars and their superior offense against Canutillo and their stingy defense, Franklin prevailed with a solid fourth quarter performance.

Canutillo's stingy defense and stellar performance by junior quarterback Javier Gomez proved to be too much for Eastlake to handle on Friday night at Lowenberg Stadium.
